For all its creativity and freshness of style, has remarkably little to say. Also some really dumb stuff happens.


Bottom Line

A fresh upgrade to the tired rape revenge exploitation picture. Fargeat’s direction turns the male gaze back on itself and spares no stylistic trick in unleashing its warrior protagonist. But it is still a genre movie, and keeps its ambitions well within that space.
